China Town

この前の日曜日はWorld Trade CenterからChina Townのほうへ歩いてみました。
途中にはCivic Centerと呼ばれる、市役所や警察署などが集まっている区域があるんです。
何とも芸術的な建物が沢山建っています。

これらのちょうど裏手にChina Townがあります。
ここにくると一気にアジア系の人たちで一杯になります。
みんな中国語（と思われる(^^;）をしゃべっています。
お店の看板も道路の標識もみんな英語の下には中国語！
路地がくねくねしていて、少し道に迷いそうな感じです。
時々、日本語もありましたね。そう孔子の像もありました。

地図で"Golden Unicorn"とあったので"なんだろう?"と思い、その近辺をぐるぐる回ってみました。でも見つからず、少し離れて振り返ってみるとあったぁ！ビルの2階のレストランの名前がそうでした(^^;
あと、そろそろ床屋に行きたいなあなんて思っていて、インターネットでいろいろ調べたら、チャイナタウンの床屋が圧倒的に安いらしいです。日本の床屋というか美容室はイーストビレッジにいくつかあるんですが、どれも高いです。チラッと見た感じ安くても$60、$120なんてのもありました。欧米系の床屋は$15～$30ぐらいでしょうか？？でもチャイナタウンの床屋は$6～$7ぐらいです。チャイナタウンをぐるぐる探索してたら、$4でやってくれるところもありました。写真の通りは床屋が密集している通りです。

奥のほうに行くと床屋だらけになります(^^;
来週あたりに、挑戦してみようと思います(^0^)/

Last Sunday, I tried to walk to China Town from World Trade Center. I passed along the place where there are a city hall, a police station and so on, called "Civic Center", on the way. There are artistic buildings.
China Town is at the back of these buildings. When I come here, I saw many Asian people. They speak in Chinese (I think so (^^;). There is all Chinese with English in signboards of shops or marks of roads. An alley is meandering, and it is some feelings that seem to lose its way. Something is in Japnese here. Then there is a statu of "Koshi".
I wonder what is "Golden Unicorn" which is in map. I tried to walk around there. But I do not find it... When I walked away from there and looked back, I found it!! It is a restaurant in the second floor of a building.
I want to go to barbarshop and I examined it on the Internet. So barbarshop of China Town is very cheap! Japanese barbarshop is too expensive, about $60, the most is $120 which I saw. A barber of Europe or America seems to be $15 - $30?? But a barbar of China Town is $6-$7!!
I found $4 when I walked in Chana Town. A picture is a street where barbershops crowds. You can look at many barbershops when you walk the street(^^; I think to try one next week.
