The festival of Japan in NY!! [日本ネタ]
日本のお祭り in New York
The festival of Japan was held in the East Villege of NY last Sunday(8/28). It had been held every year until middle part of 1990's. But it had not been held, because persons of the office changed. This year, The festival of Japan was planned in the biggest festival in the East Villege, which calls "howl festival" and sponsored "FEVA", it has been held.
In other words, the festival of Japan in NY has revived after an interval of ten years. "howl festival" was held for one week. The festival of Japan was held on a last day of "howl festival", as Japan day, at St. Marks street . ..... a newspaper said, so I tried to go there.
There are many Japanese shop around the East Villege, SUSHI bar, IZAKAYA(Japanese bar) and so on. And there are many Japanese, so "What a lot of Japanese there are in NY!!"
Some people wear YUKATA. Mysterious animals was dancing like MAIKO-SAN.
In the back, they cleanse brefore a portable shrine which calls "OMIKOSHI"! Various events have happened there. There were many stalls in the street.
SUSHI, TV game,,,,
Scooping a yoyo, YAKITORI,,, there were cotton candy, curry rice, stewed beef and rice, too. It seemed to feel strange in this street today. Oh, mysterious characters came and danced !! I did not understand them??
